Submissions to the Dynamic User/Host List (DUHL)
This is a IP based list, and therefore forms part of dnsbl.sorbs.net, and is available separately
as dul.dnsbl.sorbs.net.
The Dynamic User and Host List (DUHL) is similar to other D.U.L. lists, however, a lot of others are actually
Dial-Up Lists. The SORBS DUHL is a list of net blocks that the address space is Dynamically assigned
to users and hosts, which makes identification of spam sources a little more difficult. It is a matter of
debate as to whether a user at home should be running their own mail server, however, it is the
opinion of SORBS that anyone competent should be allowed to run their own mail server, but all
outgoing mail from dynamic address space (and in some cases static space) should be made to
flow through their ISP's mail server.
To submit to the Dynamic User and Host List, you must be a person of authority for the address block, therefore
SORBS will only take submission to the DUHL from SORBS registered logins where the registered email
address matches the WHOIS record for the domain, and from the postmaster address at your domain.
Submissions may be made by mailing
duhl@sorbs.net, however
end users should use the
SORBS support system.
